This version of Darija Fan works entirely offline. No personal data is collected, transmitted, or stored on our servers. Everything stays on your device.

1. Who are we?

2. What data do we collect?

None.

The Darija Fan application works entirely offline. You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or set a password. Everything you do in the app — learning, progress, badges, preferences — remains exclusively on your device. No information is transmitted to our servers or to any third party.

Detailed list of what we do NOT collect

  • ❌ Learning progress (XP, badges, streaks — remain on the device)
  • ❌ Location (GPS, Wi‑Fi, mobile network)
  • ❌ Phone contacts
  • ❌ Photos, videos, files on the device
  • ❌ SMS messages, call log
  • ❌ Health data
  • ❌ Financial or banking data
  • ❌ Biometric data
  • ❌ Usage statistics, telemetry, advertising identifiers
  • ❌ Device identifier, model, OS version — nothing is sent to our servers

Payments

This version is entirely free. If a future version offers a Premium plan, payment will be handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play. Darija Fan will never collect banking data.

3. Why do we use your data?

Not applicable. As no data is collected, no processing is carried out.

4. With whom do we share your data?

With no one. As no data is collected, nothing is shared. Darija Fan does not transmit any information to third parties (analytics providers, advertisers, data brokers, or technical processors).

5. Transfers outside Morocco

Not applicable. As no data is transmitted outside your device, there is no international transfer.

6. How long do we keep your data?

As no data is collected, nothing is stored on our servers. All your in-app usage data remains locally on your device. To delete it permanently, simply uninstall the application.

7. Your rights

In accordance with Moroccan Law 09-08 and the European GDPR, you have rights regarding your data. As the application is entirely offline and does not collect data, these rights are automatically satisfied:

  • ✅ Right of access: all your data is on your device, and you have direct access to it through the app settings.
  • ✅ Right to rectification: modify your preferences directly in the application.
  • ✅ Right to erasure: uninstall the application to delete all your data immediately. No copy exists on our servers.
  • ✅ Right to data portability: not applicable — we do not hold any data.
  • ✅ Right to object: not applicable — no processing concerning you is carried out.
  • ✅ Right to withdraw consent: you have never had to give consent, as the application does not process any data.

8. Security

The Darija Fan application does not require any server connection to function. All your data remains on your device:

  • No network transmission, therefore no risk of a server-side data leak.
  • The security of your data depends on your device’s lock settings (PIN code, biometrics, iOS/Android storage encryption).
  • Uninstalling the application immediately deletes all associated data.

9. Children

Darija Fan is designed for all audiences. As the application is offline and does not collect data, no information about the user (minor or adult) is processed. For any questions, contact privacy@darijafan.com.

10. Cookies (website only)

This section concerns only the darijafan.com website, not the mobile application.

  • Essential cookies: session, language, CSRF security — necessary for the functioning of the website, no consent required.
  • Analytics cookies: Plausible, anonymized — subject to consent.
  • No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers for marketing purposes.

11. Changes

If a future version of Darija Fan introduces data collection (for example: user account, cloud synchronization, anonymous statistics), this Policy will be updated before any deployment. Users will be informed by in-app notification and/or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Application will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
